VICTORIA FALLS SAFARI – 4 DAYS

DAY 1 : LIVINGSTONE
Guests are met and welcomed on arrival in Livingstone and then transferred to their lodge, set on a hill overlooking the spray cloud of the mighty Victoria Falls. The afternoon is devoted to visiting the various viewing points where one may enjoy spectacular vistas of this phenomenal natural wonder.
DAY 2 : LIVINGSTONE
The morning is spent visiting the section of the falls known as the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park. That name translates to ‘the smoke that thunders’, which is the name locals have given the Victoria Falls. The sanctuary affords incredible views and, during the dry season, you may walk across to Livingstone Island for a heart-stopping peek into the gorge below. There is also a curio market at the falls and guests may enjoy some time viewing the arts and crafts on display before returning to the lodge. During the late afternoon, we enjoy a sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi River. Enjoy traditional cocktails and snacks whilst witnessing one of the most spectacular sunsets you are ever likely to see - an evening that will remain with you for a lifetime.
DAY 3 : LIVINGSTONE
The morning is devoted to an elephant-back safari in a wilderness area not far from Victoria Falls. An your safari begins. View game whilst riding silently through the African bush atop a gigantic pachyderm. Your safari ends with a short training session and interaction with the elephants, followed by a late breakfast or early lunch.
Guests are then allowed some time for relaxation before visiting a local village and craft market. This visit will expose you to the customs and culture of the Leya people, who have inhabited the area since the eleventh century. The village was visited on numerous occasions by Dr. David Livingstone. After this experience, guests are returned to their lodge.
DAY 4 : DEPARTURE
A last glimpse of the thundering Victoria Falls is followed by a transfer to Livingstone Airport for your onwards flight after a memorable Victoria Falls safari.
