Activities
DAY 1-4 : CAPE TOWN
Guests will be met on arrival at Cape Town International Airport by our Airport representative. Guests are then transferred to Camps Bay, set along the shores of the Atlantic and under the ever-watchful Twelve Apostles, and the starting point of the Beaches and Champagne Honeymoon. Camps Bay is one of Cape Town's most prestigious areas and is a favorite among those wishing to spend time on a Cape Town beach. Guests spend four nights at Ocean View House on a bed and breakfast basis. Ocean View House is within close proximity to the beach and the various entertainment locations in the Camps Bay area. Alternatively, enjoy a sunset cruise or go for a picnic on Table Mountain .
DAY 5-7 : OVERBERG
Guests are met after breakfast and a scenic coastal drive brings them to the heart of South Africa's Overberg region and the coastal town of Hermanus. From June to November, Hermanus is famous for its land-based whale watching . The area, however, has much to offer throughout the year. En route to Hermanus, we make a few short stops to admire the natural beauty with which the area is blessed.
Guests spend three nights at the Hermanus Beach Villa with breakfast included. The villa has double room apartments with sweeping views of the ocean, and occasionally one will be able to spot a whale or two as they pass by. Take a leisurely stroll along the cliff path or follow one of the many hiking trails and enjoy some of the amazing scenery. The luxury guest house is not only close to the beach but is in close proximity to local restaurants and shops, allowing guests the opportunity to enjoy a romantic dinner or some honeymoon shopping.
DAY 8-9 : CAPE WINELANDS
Breakfast is followed by a drive through South Africa's apple producing region en route to the Cape winelands and the town of Franschhoek. The route travels along the shore of the Theewaterskloof Dam before crossing over the impressive Franschhoek Pass and descending into the town of Franschhoek.
Franschhoek is revered as the food and wine capital of South Africa. Guests spend two nights at Maison Chablis in Franschhoek. The town offers a host of small shops and award-winning restaurants. Activities on offer in the area include hiking trails, horseback riding, several spas and wine tasting.
DAY 10 : DEPARTURE
A last morning spent in the Drakenstein Valley is followed by a transfer to Cape Town International Airport where your South African Beaches and Champagne honeymoon in the Western Cape ends. Memories of three remarkably different areas, fine hotels, guest houses and settings which can only be described as breathtaking are sure to last a lifetime
