Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Pick Up Airport – Transfer to Kampala
Our company tour guide will be waiting for you on arrival, brief you on your trip and hit the road to your hotel either in Entebbe or Kampala. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Travel to Kibale Forest
Start your day with breakfast and drive off with your guide to Kibale National Park, home to over 10 primate species including black and white colobus, red colobus, L’Hoest’s monkey, Chimpanzees among others. Dinner & overnight at primate lodge/ Chimps Nest
Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary tour
Have breakfast and report to the ranger station in Kibale for a short briefing and thereafter, enter the forest to track the habituated chimpanzees. After this delightful experience, return to the Lodge for relaxation, in the afternoon, set out for a walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary with an opportunity to see a diversity of birdlife, flora and fauna. Overnight at primate lodge/ Chimps Nest
Day 4: Kibale Forest – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Have breakfast early, after which depart for Queen Elizabeth national Park, habitat to diversity of wildlife species inclusive are elephants, buffaloes, lion, leopards, giant forest hog, and hippos, among others. Arrive in time for lunch and in the afternoon, take 2 hours Launch cruise on the Kazinga channel that connects Lakes Edward and George, one of the most exciting activities in Uganda with a chance to see a high concentration of Hippos and Crocodiles in water while elephants, waterbucks and buffaloes grazing on the banks of the channel as well as an array of birdlife including; the kingfishers, Egyptian fish eagle, saddle billed stork, among others. Return to the lodge for dinner. Dinner and overnight at Ihamba Safari lodge
Day 5: Morning Game Drive –Transfer to Bwindi
After breakfast, embark on an early morning game drive; expect to see wildlife like leopard, Uganda kob, warthog, giant forest hog, elephants, hippos from grazing going back to water, going through the crater lakes and dry craters visiting the salt lake lunch at the lodge, and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National park through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, the area is known for its tree climbing lions. Home to half of the world’s remaining population of the Mountain Gorillas. Over night at Silver back Lodge Meal plan Full Board.
Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi forest
Early breakfast, report to the ranger station for briefing about your uganda gorilla tour and enter the gorilla sanctuary with the ranger guides for the most interesting and memorable activity- Gorilla Tracking. The tracking activity takes between half an hour to about 5 hours thus, a steady pair of walking shoes is recommended as well as a reasonable degree of fitness. Sit in the dense rain forest for an hour hearing these delightful mountain gorillas grumble at each other. Return to the Lodge and if you have the afternoon free, take a guided nature walk in the Forest. Over night at Silver back Lodge Meal plan Full Board.
Day 7: Transfer to Kampala for Departure
After breakfast, depart for Kampala, having lunch en route and a chance to explore the region’s culture at Igongo cultural center in Mbarara and drop off at your hotel or airport.
