DAY 1 : CAPE TOWN
Guests are welcomed at Cape Town International Airport by our airport representative before heading off to the foot slopes of Table Mountain for a cable car ride to the top. It takes less than five minutes for the rotating car to ferry visitors up to 1067m above sea level, where they will enjoy spectacular views of Cape Town’s city bowl and Table Bay - a fitting introduction to the Mother City! Following the Table Mountain excursion, guests will enjoy a tour of the historic Cape Castle, the oldest building still standing in South Africa. Guests arrive at their luxury accommodation on the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront in the late afternoon.
DAY 2 : CAPE TOWN
The Royal Cape Golf Club is the focus of the first leg of your Cape Town golf tour. Established in 1885, the links/parklands combination course was the first golf course in South Africa. Still widely celebrated, the Royal Cape Golf Club has hosted the South African Open ten times and offers a rewarding round for even the most experienced of golfers. Guests return to their overnight accommodation on the waterfront in the afternoon, where they may explore the area at their leisure. Opt for a sunset cruise in Table Bay , indulge in some shopping or have your pick of the waterfront’s fine selection of restaurants.
DAY 3 : CAPE TOWN
Erinvale is one of the most esteemed golf courses in the Cape and happens to be where you will enjoy a stimulating game of golf this morning. Erinvale hosted the World Cup of Golf in 1996 and the SA Open in 2005. Stretched across the verdant slopes of the Helderberg in Somerset West, this handsome parklands course will prove a highlight of your Cape Town golf tour. The afternoon is spent enjoying a wine tasting experience and cellar tour at the historic Vergelegen Wine Estate, which boasts more than 300 years of wine craft. Guests are returned to their waterfront accommodation in the late afternoon.
DAY 4 : CAPE TOWN
Today we trace the coast of False Bay traveling south toward Arabella Golf Course in Kleinmond. This coastal drive is one of the most scenic in the country, with various viewpoints to enjoy whale watching from between June and November. During this time, Southern Right whales journey up from the icy waters of the Southern Ocean to calve in the coves of Walker Bay. Arabella Golf Course enjoys an inimitable position on the Bot River Lagoon. The links/parklands combination course was designed by Peter Matkovich and is surrounded by striking natural scenery. Before returning to Cape Town, the tour stops in the charming seaside town of Hermanus for lunch.
DAY 5 : DEPARTURE
Atlantic Beach Golf Course serves as the last course of the 5 Day Cape Town Golf Tour. Its incomparable views of Table Mountain from across Table Bay make it the ideal course to bid farewell to the Mother City from. The links-style Atlantic Beach offers a trying round, with summer days often badgered by the famous South-Easter wind running up the coast. Upon conclusion of the game, guests are returned to Cape Town International following an unforgettable Cape Town golf holiday.
